High Spring Carbon Steel Wires
SL Grade
Grade SL
High carbon spring steel wires grade SL are Low Static Strength cold drawn patented wires made from unalloyed high carbon steel wire rods. An ideal Carbon percentage ranging from 0.55% to 0.65% is maintained in this grade. Supply of such wires are usually phosphate coated and rarely lightly coated with zinc for corrosion resistance. SL grade wires possess properties for tension, compression or torsion springs which are chiefly subjected to low static stress.
